Statement As I work, I listen for unexpected possibilities and look for resonant intersections. I follow branching and looping paths, negotiating the charged space of becoming in which we form objects and objects form us. Working collaboratively with my materials, I manipulate objects and situations, shifting their boundaries of meaning. I work loosely within operative logics, pushing them into unexpected iterations. I disrupt and remake in order to reveal the shifting flow beneath statically inscribed knowledge. I seek to create new meanings, which embrace their flux by perpetually renewing themselves. My best results are surprises—escaping the disappointing tit-for-tat accumulation of known operations toward foreseeable ends. The significance of my works lays not so much in them but in the spaces of meaning between them, and in the flows of force that they reveal like a stick in a stream.
